General Assembly Ad-Hoc of the Director General

Hello, my name is Christina Mueller (she/her), and I am so excited to serve as one of the chairs for the Ad Hoc of the Director General! I am looking forward to meeting all of you and seeing how you deal with the surprises that are bound to be present in this committee. Having participated in too many GAs over the years, this committee will introduce some much-needed twists and turns into committee procedure. I am currently a senior studying Political Science, and I have been in UCBMUN for the entirety of my time at Berkeley. I staffed the Ad Hoc of the Director General during my first two years of staffing UCBMUN, so ending my staffing journey with this committee feels very full circle. I hope that you are as excited about this committee as I am, and I look forward to meeting you at UCBMUN XXX! 

It is an honor to have you for the weekend and to watch you take part in what we hope will be a super cool committee. My name is Dylan Nokleby and it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Bay and UCBMUN XXXI. I am a current senior at UC Berkeley studying Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. In the non-MUN world, I play for the Cal Club Soccer team, am in a consulting club, and am in general a massive fan of any sport. I also love traveling, food, and music. 

Within UCBMUN, I serve as one of the New Member Trainers (with Christina!). I actually didn’t start competing in MUN until I came to college but the it has since become a core part of my Berkeley experience through all the memories I’ve made travelling, staffing, and hanging out with members of the club who have become some of my best friends. Christina and I joined MUN at the same time way back in 2022 and have done a lot together with the club so this is a super fun way to cap off my UCBMUN life. 

After competing in so many different conferences and committee types, I’ve realized that as fun as MUN is, it can sometimes get a little repetitive. Therefore, last UCBMUN, the committee I lead had a bunch of unique rules and procedures to force delegates to work together in different settings and to make things a little more fun. Christina and I are excited to approach this weekend with the exact same mentality, so we’ve added a couple twists to the core GA competencies for this weekend. You'll see once you get the BG!

Christina and I are both here to be great staffers but just as much to have fun. It wouldn’t be worth giving up a weekend in our last semester of college if we didn’t expect this to be a great time. We truly hope you can all play along with us, dive head first into committee, and have a super fun weekend of creative chaos. Can’t wait to meet all of you and go bears!
