“Too Hot for Temptation” : Jcc: Love Island All Stars - The Villa

Hi! I’m Victoria Gutanu, a junior studying Political Science and Economics, and I am very happy to serve as a Chair for the JCC Love Island All Stars (The Villa) committee! I am interested in international relations, and more specifically, Eastern European politics. Besides Model UN, I write for the World section of the Berkeley Political Review, do research for the Institute of European Studies and the Berkeley Center on Comparative Equality and Anti-Discrimination Law, am a part of Romanians at Berkeley, and play tennis. I first joined UCMUN my freshman year, with my first MUN experience ever being staffing The Sicilian Mafia Committee at UCBMUN XXIX. Since then, I have competed at a few collegiate conferences, met some fantastic delegates on the circuit, and am now Director General for our high school conference, BearMUN. While competing, I have especially enjoyed the Press Corps committees as I can go and observe multiple other committees in action. However, what I am most excited to see in action are you Islanders in drama-filled challenges this weekend! I urge you to take a creative approach, and hope you are looking forward to surviving the villa--I know I am!

Hi my name is Fiona and I’m a fourth year student studying Political Science, Global Studies, and Korean. I’m from Yorba Linda in Orange County, and I’m a rare SoCal native who thinks the bay area is the better half of California. I love traveling and side questing in San Francisco (or any city). I’m also a matcha and cafe enthusiast. I started MUN because I was interested in foreign policy, but stayed for the people and the thrill of debate. Even though I’m the CCD of the Love Island committee, my fun fact is that I’ve never watched Love Island before this committee. Still, I love the drama of a good crisis committee, so bring forth your best ideas and I’m so excited to see all of the creativity each of you will bring to Love Island.

Best,
Fiona Salisbury
Coordinating Crisis Director, “Too Hot for Temptation” : Jcc: Love Island All Stars

Hey everyone! My name is Kaitlin Graetz and I'm excited to be your Crisis Director for this committee! I'm from San Mateo, CA right here in the bay and currently perusing a degree in Legal Studies hoping to go to law school. Ever since Love Island Uk, the overdramatic showmances captivated me, and when I'm not overanalyzing reality TV drama, you can find near the pool, the beach, or any body of water. Can't wait to see our own MUN Island turn it into a chaotic game of geopolitical intrigue, strategic recouplings, and backstabbing alliances. Whether you're pulling delegates for chats or scheming from the daybeds, I can't wait to see how you pull off the surprise in paradise. Get ready to crack on!
